More 67-72 trucks in movies

Pretty much any 70's movie I've watched lately has them in the background, here's a few, I'll post more later.

Walking Tall 1 and 2
Blues Brothers
The Man Who Fell to Earth

i watched gone in 60 seconds the other nite, and in the beginning of it when the camera pans through the garage i caught a glimpse of a 67-72 gmc in a picture on a shelf........i know it isn't a big deal but i thought it was ironic that out of all the stuff they showed that was one thing i picked up on real quick!!

dion 06-02-2003 10:40 PM

The original 60 seconds has a few in it.

A movie called "Cannonball" with David Carradine has chevy and gmc in it.

" The gauntlet" with clint eastwood had a nice burb in one shot. I think it was 4x4 if memory serves correct.

smokekiki 06-03-2003 10:10 AM

Watched "Cops"that I taped a couple weeks ago.It was from New Mexico,I believe,a stock looking orange 71 or2 blazer was at a stop sign across the street from where they where watching a drug dealer.

dubie 06-03-2003 10:24 AM

I spotted an orange 72 in Half Baked the other night. I have watched the movie at least 15 times and finally noticed it. Great weed movie :D

XXL 06-03-2003 10:40 AM

OK, not quite a movie... the current Home Depot "father's day" commercial has one in it. I've slept since I saw it so I don't remember much about it. Orange (obvious), I think.

Just wached Forrest Gump, a silver stepside almost runs him over when he gets up from the bus stop to go down the street to Jennys apartment.

GMC71k20 06-03-2003 05:32 PM

in history class we were watching some footage of the kent state university shootings and the ambulance that came to the rescue was a 67

Ackattack 06-03-2003 06:31 PM

I saw a commercial the other day, just caught the end of it, but it had a blazer rolling and then landing (in a pond I think?) I'll have to watch for it again.

72 CustomCamper 06-04-2003 12:15 AM

Their were a few pick ups and at least 1 blazer in Smokey and the Bandit...

1969 GMC 06-04-2003 12:46 AM

yeah i just watched smoky and the bandit, the blazer is only shown like once or twice, its a 71 or 72. most of the other trucks in the movie are 73-up

bobs409 06-04-2003 09:35 AM

This list could get really big as these trucks were very popular and you'll see one or more in most old movies. (and even new movies)

Christine has a nice stepside in it. (school parking lot) Just watched Mr. Majestik with Charles Bronson and that's got a few in it. Lots of Chevy cars too.

Looking for old cars in these movies is part of the fun! Programs like the A-team had alot too.

Someone should compile a list. :D It would be a big one!

1972chevy4x4 06-04-2003 09:39 AM

Check out the goonies movie, in the start up scene they are having a race down the beach and like four different 4x4's are in the race. Pretty neat.

Figment412 06-04-2003 02:29 PM

There is a constant shot of GMC in Sweet Home Alabama, not sure what year exactly though.

jays68yak 06-04-2003 02:32 PM
