Purpose of Mystery Factory Hole in Radiator Support?
1 Attachment(s)
Why is this factory hole with a nut welded to the backside on the radiator support?
It is only on the passenger side. The attached picture is a 1972 Blazer from the Internet, but my 1972 GMC pickup has it and I'm trying to figure out why GM put it there. |

It was an alternate radiator retainer location. IIRC it was used on I-6 trucks. This is a '67 V-6 (KM).

Width of the radiator changes from a 4 core.I don't remember all the criteria, but I went to the other holes when I put the (way overkill) 4 core in my 68 with a 250.
