well, the other day we went and picked up a box to chop up and make a bench seat out of it to use on our new deck i built this summer. plan to actually have some cushions made and make it fairly comfortable.

so then yesterday i picked up a whole 70 c10 to turn into more furniture and wall art... as well as strip a few parts out of it for my 70 gmc. the dash will go on the wall, and the frontend will either be a shelf or an entertainment center it seems. and the box of course, another bench for the deck.

it runs and drives. but the carb is messed up. a shot of ether to start it but once its running its got enough oomp yet to do a burn out...! lol.

ill swap the good heater switches into my gmc, as well as the black carpet(assuming it looks worth it once i pull it out) maybe the black armrests for now until i get my hands on the aqua green ones i need. probably the heater core/fan mount under the hood since mine has been fiber-glassed back together by someone. and the kick panels look good so they may end up in mine.

was glancing at the spid, it has heavy duty front suspension and rear. i did see it had the coils with those single half a leaf over loads on it. tires look damn near new except for the nail in one...rims would be worth cleaning and painting but mine has been converted to 5 lug... and of course now that i bought a power steering setup from someone, this truck has it in it...

and then maybe recoup a little bit back out of some of the stuff left on it before it gets hauled to the junker. hell the motor runs decent beside a little smoke. someone will buy it! lol.

My dad made a couch out of the rear of a Cadillac. Taillights even work. It's sitting in his automotive shops lobby

Which box? The green one has a lot of inner fender wall and floor rust but front and back are good. The orange one is much rougher then it looks. Pass side is very rusty, and the wood floor is torn up.

There will be pics, but it will be awhile probably. To many projects and plus ill probably wait for the weather to get a little nicer out consistently before I start on that stuff.

I was thinking the same thing until I saw the post about rust. Even if it wasnt rusted through it would still be better than mine!

This will be a cool project. I would like to a tail gate bench, and a bed rear 1/4 couch some day.

Can't wait to see your furniture projects!

If your not going to use it, I might could make you an offer on the trim off the 70. I am missing almost everything drivers side on my 69 and a fair bit passenger side. PM me if your not going to use it.

Thanks,
Jeff
