windshield washer glass bottle?
I forgot to take a pic but I bought a 68 and it has a glass bottle with windshield washer fluid in it and it has a spring clip brackets to hold it in place to the left of the radiator was this factory? it looks like it and its in very good shape just curious what I got this truck is kinda neat has nice shoulder harness seat belts and some other cool things just really wondering if the bottle was factory was it rare?

Well I havent seen a glass one in a while. They used to be on some of the cars I had that where from the 40s. But as far as 68 I wouldnt think so. Hey leave it on there kinda cool

They were in most GM cars of the early-late 60's. Chevy, Buick, Olds Pontiac... I never saw one in a truck however. ??

I'm pretty sure mines factory( or maybe a dealer add on.....one owner truck)

I've seen them in cars from the early 50s. I don't know about GM but Nash had aftermarket ones available in most dealers. I think they were Trico. You can still buy new ones from a place in England. I'd have to look to remember the name.

Repro's are available too but pricey.
Whenever I needed one, I just got lucky in the junkyards. Corvairs are a good place to find them. (free tip of the day) :mm: |
