Im usually over on the 60-66 and have a few of them but I have the chance to pick up a 69 Custom 10 with a factory 396, power steering, power breaks, A/C all the goods. I can get it for 2,000 cash and Im just asking if thats fair or not. Not real familiar with these. Thanks

Re: Value question

You better not even freaking hesistate in your voice when you say sold, buy it no ?s asked. That truck has alot of rare options, a custom 10 396 truck with a/c in a long bed is my dream, actually my dream is all of that in a c20 4spd. Buy it dont think twice. If there is negotiation with the seller than your doing even better, but its a good deal. A real good deal

Re: Value question

It looks original and intact. Clean it up and get it running. Drive it or sell it to someone as an awesome starter. Id love to buy it if it was closer to me.

Re: Value question

Its a no brainer for $2k........really looks like it will need to have the 396 freshened up with new seals and a good cleaning, but for what you will have invested it will bring great returns.

Re: Value question

I wouldn't pay anymore than what is being asked. Heck... I wouldn't give more than $1,500 for it. "Rare" options or not... it's still an old beat up truck. Big block A/C trucks do bring a tad more than others though... but not much more in my book.

Re: Value question

It seems fair but my eyes are drawn to the expensive things that need to be replaced. They all add up. I'd say evaluate what you want to do with it.

Re: Value question

If the AC doesn't work...then it isn't an "AC truck" in my book. Your lookin at about $1000 just to get it working in most cases. There are a lot of little things that need fixing that will add up fast. If you need a work truck, and this one runs good and is titled and registered, 1500 would be my top price, maybe more in your area. If you are looking to fix it up and flip it, this ain't the truck.

Re: Value question

Not sure if the A/C works or not. Guy said he heard it run when he bought it, brought it home, parked it and that was that. He bought it back in september. What do you all think t would need right away? Thanks for the replies

Re: Value question

Also to add, I would plan on keeping the truck to restore and drive until i can get to that point.

Re: Value question

Going to try to get him to 1500 on it. At the end of the day it's an old truck, but it has rare rare options. Like stated before if the A/C doesn't work it's not an ac trick. Hasn't ran for awhile so we will see

Re: Value question

if you offer him 500 you can always raise your offer if you offer him 5000 you could not then offer him less

Re: Value question

That's a lot to pay for something that doesn't run. I don't see any rare options, other than a big block (which isn't rare, just desireable...and who knows what condition it is in) Good luck!
