BBC with A/C Radiator brackets
So I have a stock 4 core radiator to go into the 67. I purchased a set of used wider brackets to accomodate this radiator. The original core support had rot underneath the battery tray as most do so I have replaced that. Now as I go to put in the lower mounts it hits the front lip of the core support. So I took them and test fit them in the factory core support. Same thing. Quick fix would be to just notch the lip however since it doesnt fit the after market core support and the original core support just making sure I am not missing something as it would be a shame to notch a brand new piece.
Thanks in advance. |
Re: BBC with A/C Radiator brackets
I used a crescent wrench and bent the lip a bit.

Re: BBC with A/C Radiator brackets
My 4 core brackets fit OK. but I had to notch the bottom of my support for the 4 core radiator tanks to fit. just used my angle grinder with a cut-off wheel :chevy:

Re: BBC with A/C Radiator brackets
I've never heard of one not needing to be notched, unless equiped with a 4 core originally.
