Picked this up today...

I had seen this trailer sitting for a few years. Today I was by and looked like they were moving. Guy was outside so I stopped and asked about it. $75 bucks he said. I looked it over and paid up. Inside is 4x6 and Looks to be a early chevy. Wheels are on backward. Will need new ones and tires. Should look cool painted up and behind my 50!

The stake pockets on my old '46 looked the same. (No, unfortunately this red one was NOT my truck - DOH!)

Did you buy it to use as a trailer or to reuse the bed for a project? If a trailer, I'd be tempted to buy era-correct fenders. I THINK the fenders are the same from about '39 to '46, not certain though.

Dan, definitely a trailer. I would love to find some original fenders. So you think pre 46?

'39-'46.1. Only tailgates were different. '46.2 is Advanced Design. Fenders via Craigslist will cost you more than trailer did, EACH! But then it'll be coolass!

That will make a killer trailer. Put some AD fenders on it and have a sweet trailer to pull behind the 50!

On a side note, thanks again for going to look at that cab for me today. Im stoked!

Nice grab. I would look at the holes where the fender bolts on closely. 39-53 used the same bed. Fenders bolt up different. Look at your 50 fenders and measure the distance on the bolts. If they are the same and have the same amount of bolts then you can use 47-55 fenders. If not then it's 39-46 early 47

Finally got to messing with my trailer. Bed is a good bit smaller on all sides than 47 - 53.
AD fenders... They're way big... I do think I can do some cutting on the bottoms and make it will look cool hooked up to the 50.
What do you guys think?

I'd put early fenders on it or leave the trailer fenders.

Put Art Deco; 39-46 fenders on it.

Looks like the early fenders may fit better but I think what you have was at one time a long bed and has been cut down. The AD fenders should not look as funny as they do on that.

The bed width in 1939 was 45-3/4" and changed to 48" in 1940. The fenders for a '39 are wider than the 1940-1946 (1947 first series) but would also work.
Nice find!

love the trailer and those fenders would hide too much of it. Go with a smaller fender profile. BTW - that Red truck is wicked awesome.

Bedsides look really solid. Seems like a guy restoring an 46- would pay a good amount for it.

Nice find!

Mine is 48" inside... so 40-46?
Check out pic attached... That's the fenders I need. See how their flat across the bottom.

Finding fenders is gonna be tough...
