Look at this thread.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=567703
Has links to '46-'72 10-30 series truck catalog.
One is online viewable, the other is a pdf file to download.

You're on a computer, you could go to rockauto and look it up yourself. The ACDelco number is there. Possibly the GM number also.

Kevsclassics rebuilds the columns and I saw in a post somewhere recently he posted the number for someone. You may want to contact him to find it. I wish I remembered where I saw that post...

What, did you not try using the phone a friend option? The two part numbers that you were given by the GM dealer and the ebay seller are both pack-con flat blade type t/s switches that will work in your 72 tilt column, you will just have to add your original gray wire w/bulb socket (for shift indicator light) from your old switch onto the new replacement switch and then use a flat to half round harness adapter to plug the t/s harness into the under dash harness. Those two GM numbers are for the same exact switch but the P/N 1894852/D6216 comes packaged with the flat to half round harness adapter and the other switch P/N 1972751/D6217 comes packaged w/o the harness adapter by itself. The real deal tilt column t/s switch with the gray wire & bulb socket is no longer available through GM and was last sold under P/N 1893596/D6214, I would have to take a look but may have one of these available in NOS. KevsClassic's helped me figure out that D6216 is the ACDelco part number. You have to reuse your indicator light socket assembly with this though.

Im trying a D6234 as it comes with a new indicator light socket assembly but can't comment on if it fits yet as I am experimenting with it.

Since the topic is here....may I jack the tread for a moment?

My hazard switch is broken off on my '69 non-tilt truck. Do I just replace the whole turn signal assembly? Does anyone have the Delco part number for the non-tilts?

Sorry for the jacking.
