i have problems again clutch linkage question
 
i have v8 in my truck sbc and the bell crank also called z bar cracked (:smoke:for those that don't know like me im talkin about bracket that bolts from frame to engine for clutch linkage) i have access to one off a straight 6 truck will it work

It should. Only difference is in the brackets, z bars should all be the same.

Six cylinder Z bars are longer between the frame and block pivot ball than small block ones by about 1/2 an inch.

thinks was drivin home from work when clutch pedal quit pulled over in bad part of town and found it had cracked on the side so i didnt want to leave truck there so drove it home shifting it by rpms thats hard as hell doing that on a 3 speed truck on the column had to stop a few times shut it off and start again

I am doing a 6 cyl to 350 swap and am looking at a hydraulic clutch conversion.

And it would be suuper easy to cut that excess length off with a hacksaw.

Yes. When I convert from six to eight that's what I've always done.
