Can't decide on interior color on a Gold 68, help!
Getting ready to order interior parts and I just cannot make up my mind.
So far I've gone from deciding on saddle then to white and now at black. Here is a pic of the truck currently. Poor interior pic I know. Plan on painting it up 50th anniversary style but that is honestly years down the road. This is just a driver for me, not a show quality build or anything. The interior color is originally that silverish fawn but I haven't been able to find door panels or armrests that color, just carpet. http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/y...67/image-5.jpg http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/y...67/image-6.jpg Here is my arguments for and against the colors: Saddle - Looks good but am afraid of ending up with 3-4 different shades of saddle and don't want to have to spend money getting stuff custom made to match. Or is it not really an issue? White - Will show dirt much easier and I'm always working on some project around the house so I will frequently jump in this dirty. Will match the 50th color scheme when the time finally comes. Black - Saw a thread with a 50th with black interior. Looks good but gets hot here in AZ. No problems with color matching. Also my current seat is trashed and if I find something from the junkyard for the time being I can dye it black to match. Finding a brown/white bench in the junkyard is pretty slim. In reality any of them would be fine I just can't make up my mind! |

Kinda sounds like black is going to work best for you. Also seems to be what you're leaning towards...and it will look good. I vote white (parchment) myself.

If you're worried about black being hot, tint your windows. You don't even need to go very dark with modern ceramic tint. It blocks a ton of heat out of the vehicle
