Some kind of "car show doll".
I've seen them facing grills, in a pu bed, looking in an open trunk.
Maybe someone can be more specific.

I have never seen one of these at a car show. I guess we Iowan's either have class or I'm too blind to notice them.

I do remember an old Far Side cartoon where it was a drawing of an old couple driving their car, viewed from the front of the car. Plastered on the grille was a kid dressed in a crossing guard vest and holding a stop sign.

I always thought that would be funny to attach to the front of my truck for Halloween.

This summer I saw two, one looked like it was being sucked into the grille, the other was a man's suit pant and dress shoe sticking out of the trunk, guess she had issues with an ex or her divorce attorney...

I have these two guys, Slick (one of my high school gearhead nicknames) and Spin I sometimes put in the front seat. The were used by the local police for seat belt education in the schools. The heads, arms and legs detach during simulated crashes.

One of those things that old guys wives think is "cute" and pack along to "display" with the car. The old guys let them do it as it helps their wives feel that they are a part of things. I'm very lucky so far as this old guy's wife of 44 years doesn't think that those things are cute.

Two things you will almost never see in my photos of cars and trucks at shows, A vehicle with a crybaby doll posed with it or a vehicle with a show board stuck up in front of it at an outdoor show. I made the rare exception on the show board last Saturday when the board told some facts about a nifty 63 Pontiac that everyone would have missed otherwise.
This one was pretty cool as it is an odd combo and a great looking car.

Nice batch of photos msaintg I think that red an yellow flamed AD truck was what mine was supposed to look like when I traded back for it and it had a red with yellow flame job on it. That paint job sure didn't look that good though. It seems that a lot of guys from up north are doing the snowbird thing with their hot rods and trucks in the Phoenix area. We have a whole contingent from Washington state down there.

Zoomie54 - that car show is every friday at the corner of Ellsworth & Baseline (Albertsons). There is another car show every Saturday at the K-mart (US60 and Power). there are others, but I have not gone to them yet. :) There is a club called: east valley cruisers that was there. they do NOT have a website, but they have about 80 members (free club)

mr48chev - I talked to the guy with the red truck a little bit. He also has a 32 roadster that is painted the same way. He told me that the roadster was the FIRST car Chip Foose ever designed (before he was famous) :)
