71 Super for Sale in GA

Has anyone seen this truck for sale? If so, observations please. I think I offended the gentlemen when I spoke to him, I certainly didn't mean to. Its a very nice truck based on the pictures but there are a few things that don't seem to make sense to me.

Looks like a faux Cheyenne Super to me. I'd guess it started life as a Custom Deluxe. Seems fishy the VIN plate is not attached. My guess is the SPID is missing as well. Unless it's a late '71, it wouldn't be a Super anyhow. No cargo light, no SS tailgate handle, headliner, wrong door panels, ect. Likely not an original BB truck either. No matter, it's not close to 28K in my view.

The VIN reflects a 1972 but its listed as a 1971. It has 1969-71 doors and door panels and the rear view mirror is clearly mounted to the cab versus windshield. And he did say the SPID was not there. Good catch on the cargo light fish938, I missed that. I don't mind someone modifying a truck during restoration but the VIN and current registration have to match. I was simply asking about those things when the owner got very offended and didn't want to talk any more. As I said, my intention was not to offend him but I am interested in finding a true short bed big block truck. It does not matter to me if its 1971 or 1972.

Quite a few little things not quite right, but a nice truck either way. The fender emblems aren't placed correctly and it has a 72 only alt. setup also...
He may be offended if he thinks the truck is the real deal or he knows better and didn't want to talk with you anymore.

A classic car dealer with thin skin? There's an oxymoron! Dishonest people always get funny when you start asking for details. So do people who nothing about what they're selling. BTW,what's a Super 10?

Link wirked for me. Imo its a pieced together truck. Nothing wrong with that but seems like for just a few bucks, they would fix the discrepancies if asking nearly $30k!

My guess is they don't know any better. I was at an antique shop and saw this 1/2 round piece of aluminum on a wooden handle with small holes and slots in it. The tag had the price and said,"bacon press". I hate that! You want to sell an old kitchen utensil for 10x what it cost new you should at least know what the heck it is!! How the heck is a light piece of thin aluminum going to "press" anything? It was obviously a frying pan stainer for draining grease off. I figured I could use it and paid $5 for it
