Crew cab builders questions

I have a suburban with a cummins but I am thinking about chopping it to a crew cab long bed. I need a truck and really don't want to spend 60K for a new truck.

I am thinking about finding a C30 just so I can have a 1 ton truck but I am wondering about titling? Do you use the truck vin or the Burb? I would rather use the truck personally but I do not know the legalities about it.

Also did c30 come with beds? It seems all the ones I find are flatbed or wreckers or no bed. Just wondering if they came with standard fleet side beds.

Tow ratings on 1 tons from 67? I googled it but came up with nadda.

Thanks

Chris

You might want to check out this THREAD. It may not say, but it appears the Burb is the body being modified. You might want to PM the OP of the thread in that LINK. Good luck!

The C-30 didn't come with a standard bed from the factory.

I've read that link a few times. Thanks for it again. The few people I talked to just kept it as a suburban but I would rather change it to a truck vin since that is what it is. Just wondering if there was any legalities to it. I would own both so I don't know if I could or not.

BigDav160, it is having a bit of rust problem and I am not sure if it is worth fixing the cancer or just cut it. Plus I a spliced dodge frame that I am starting to doubt so I am going to have a tube chassis built by Joel (68burbanontherocks)

I looking into the best most affordable options. I have a 1936 chevy that needs love too I just want/need a truck. I hate to cut a burb but leaving it in rust is not an option.
