i had a similar rustfree long bed that i tried to sell for over 6months felt very lucky to get $100 for it

Wow...that is an eye opener. He is looking for $1500 up here in the northeast. I told him the tailgate was probably worth a couple hundred, but I do not think he will get $1500 for it. I will keep you posted. Thanks for your input.

In your location if it is not rusty at all i would think about a grand with the gate. Location is everything. If it was still in cali it would probably be a couple hundred...

I bought one in Oregon for 300 that was in great shape, no gate though.

It may take a while to find the buyer that needs it, but that is the case with most parts. I saw one last year on craigslist that was in Maine and the guy was asking $1500 for it. When I called on it, it was already sold. Rust free in New England, I wouldn't let it go for anything less than a grand.
