Look under user name barnfindc10 or barnfind ? That guy lowers his trucks 7" / 9" with spindles and springs but im gonna bet your ride quality will suffer ,,,,,

Without bags I wouldn't go past 4/6 for ride quality

Add a 2.5" drop spindle and a 2" lowering block with a bolt in c-notch.

^^^^^ This is the correct answer! I did a 5" front and 7" rear and it looks sick. I did CPP lowering spindles and 3" springs up front and 5" springs w/ 2" lowering blocks in the rear. The C notch is unavoidable, and has to be done. I tried to avoid it but you have to. Ride quality is good using this way. Driving from the muffler shop today home I got 5 thumbs up and stares. It stands out.

My 69 longbed is 5 1/2 in front and 5 in the rear. It has a nice rake and no
c-notch yet.
