Nos pics

I searched around the boards and couldn't find one, so I thought I might start a thread where people could post pics of NOS parts. As I am starting the rustconstruction of my Suburban I don't necessarily always know what things looked like when they rolled out of the factory.

Specifically, right now, I am looking for what a NOS 1971 3/4 TON POWER BRAKE BOOSTER looks like (mine is just rusty metal) and what a NOS 1971 INNER GRILLE looks like (mine is stained by some sort of moss/mildew and after washing and wet sanding, it still looks the same greenish grey color).

I am going to add pics that I find from the F/S site to this as I come across them. It will be useful to have them all in one place for people who have never seen NOS/stock parts. :chevy: :gmc2:

Here are pics of a 1972 NOS Outer Grille that 68lowburb posted f/s a while back in 2013. I am going to paint my '71 O.G. this weekend and so seeing exactly where the black ends, and how glossy it is, is very helpful for matching the paint.

That is a tall order there. Not competely impossible but a challenge. I suggest you go on the parts board and look for members who have NOS parts for sale. DaHos is one person I can think of now that just posted a bunch of NOS parts.

Some of these items are just not available in NOS any longer and I think you may find that true with any brake related parts.

Good luck.

I can post you photos of some NOS gauges but it may be a while before I have time.

Here is a complete NOS '72-'72 grille. It sure looks pretty.

I got this pic off a 2010 photobucket site of Ricks1972 when he was listing this for sale on the parts board.

I could still use a close up pic of a NOS 71/72 inner grille though, if anyone has one. Thanks.

Thanks TBONE! I would love to see pics of the gauges as mine are very faded! I am thinking developing this thread will be a long time process, so take all the time you need. My project certainly will take a lifetime...so if I can see the gauges by mid-2015 or late 2017 that would be great! ;)

Here is a pic of the '60-'70 NOS grille assembly currently listed by DaHos on the parts board. He had lots of pics there, including close ups, and I will try to post them here later (but I have to get back to work!!).

Here are NOS brake lights and NOS backup lights with trim from Ricks1972 photobucket site. Super clean!

I don't have time to do it but If you go to the parts boards and type "NOS" into the "Search This Forum" box you will come up with a lot of stuff. I had 103 hits on the pickup parts forum alone.

You should add that this rocker panel is for a suburban pass side, not pickup.
