Need help ASAP !!!

So I spent the last two days at my parents, 150 miles from where I live, I went to head home tonight and oil starts pouring out of the top rear of my motor, I had just left made it a few miles and I smelled oil burning, worse than I'm used to smelling in a 42 year old truck(72 c20 350 4spd) so I pulled into an oreilyys auto parts in case I needed oil I get out and smoke is every where I look under the truck there's a puddle of oil, I look on top of the motor and see it pooled on the intake and running down onto my bellhousing starter and exhaust. Today I set my dwell on my points and my timing tightened the distributor down, and might have messed up by pullin the vent tube from my breather out of the valve cover and sticking an oil plug from my factory valve covers into the hole someone pointed out it could have cause pressure to build in the cranckcase causing oil to escape where it could, my ? Is where is it coming from, my oil sending unit is 3 months old, and would it build too much pressure even with a funtioning PVC valve in the other cover? I'm going to do what I should have at first and buy a new grommet for the breather and put it back but I'm not sure what else ill have to do now

It might have blown the gasket between the intake manifold and the rear of the block out, or one (or both) of the valve cover gaskets in the back.

What about the oil pressure line? Where it bolts into the block on the drivers side of the distributor. I had a leak like that a few years ago, sure made a heck of a mess

Pcv can't work without the breather, they are part of the same system. If you plugged your breather then you do not have a functional pcv. This is prolly you problem. If you lucky you just blew your oil out your valve covers and need to replace your valve cover gaskets which could have dumped onto your intake. Don't drive without some kind of breather. Your gonna have to find the sorce of the leak to know where it blew.

It doesn't seem to be the valve cover gaskets, but it was dark and all I had was a crappy flashlight it's mostly pooling on the passenger side near the distributer and Im wondering if it blew out the little o gasket under there

If it's a large volume of oil, in a short time, it's probably your oil pressure line. If you need to get home, you can remove the oil pressure sender fitting and plug the block. I think it is 1/8" pipe.

Fix your PCV. Clean the engine thoroughly. Fire it up and watch for leaks.

I had the exact same thing happen to me, and it turned out to be the cheap Nicarauga made sending unit. The cheap plastic body cracked after a couple of months. And, I had all my PCV equipment working.

I had no clue either, I'm glad I know now, I'm definately gonna watch it and check the oil at any chance, I have 42 years of build up what's the best way to get it off
