1970 6 lug wheel spacers?
Have a 1970 c10 with six lugs. Original wheels.
Have a later model mid 2000s chevy 16" alloy wheel/tire combo off a Tahoe / silverado. Obviously the center axle between old truck and later model trucks is off about 1/4 inch or so. Bought a 3.5 inch hole saw. What a pain. I've decided not to go that route. Hence wheel spacer idea. Anyone know exact thickness I need??? 1/4"? 3/8"? 1/2"??? I suspect many have done this before. Thanks again. PS: also would new lugs and or longer studs be required? |

I would use a 1" bolt on wheel spacer like this.
And maybe a 1-1/2" wheels spacer on the rear to help offset the track width differences. |

I think you want a spacer with 7/16 thread.
Like these: ![]() The version you linked are metric,... but will work with metric lug nuts. |
Re: 1970 6 lug wheel spacers?
Thanks again.
Read the review and someone used them on their older c10 truck. Perfect!!! |
Re: 1970 6 lug wheel spacers?
I would mock up the wheels on the truck and measure for spacer width that YOU like.
