For my 67 cst, does anyone know where to buy the factory glovebox decal?

Did you mean the SPID [Special Parts Identification Description] that blue and white thing on the inside of the glovebox with all the RPO codes for what options were put on the vehicle on the production line? Or the 4X4 operating instructions on the outside of the glovebox?
Anyway both are available. Classic Industries has blank SPID sheets you can type options on. Most any vendors have the 4X4 decals.

Forum Member Chipflyer can also reproduce a SPID label for you.

I just looked at my original SPID . . .

I thought it was "service" - but wasn't sure !!!

But, NOW what does the " D " really stand for - I thought DECAL !!!

Someone will tell us !!! LOL

The ID is the first two letters of the word Identification = Service Parts ID or SPID.

At least That's what I always thought...

"OR" see post #2 in this thread....:)... I could believe "Service Parts Identification Description" since that is the basic heading on the label, but that sounds a little redundant...Dunno, really

It probably was a repetitively redundant superfluity of information. Although I've been running my Chevy truck for 41 years, I'm by no means an expert on the more arcane aspects of the (now) ancient manufacturing process.
Also that was posted at 1005 Zulu [0305 Local] so I can't speak to my mental state at that hour, but its long odds that I was anywhere near sober.

Ya - it's "Service Parts ID" label.

I thought it was intuitively obvious to the most casual of observers, so I didn't comment.

BTW - we still use them, too (you all probably knew that).

The reason I have this picture? It's on the wrong car. We got them out of sequence on the assembly line and ran that way for a little while...

Actually (now that I think about it) I don't think the process has changed much since then.

We have a lot more computers now, which tend to make things harder and take longer.
