streering column length

I have a69 when measuring for a new column
where do you measure from.

Fast68Chevy 03-28-2002 11:15 PM

why do you need to measure ?

shawn harris 03-28-2002 11:24 PM

Don't really know the correct length trying
to find out how to get it.or is it a standard length?

Fast68Chevy 03-28-2002 11:36 PM

only one length 67-72, only thing else that would be different but yet sitl bolt in with minor mods are van columns

You would need to know the length if you were ordering an aftermarket column...instead of using a stock column. Such as a billet or stainless column from someone like Ididit or Flaming River.

Not sure if that's what the original post was asking, but I have thougth of this before too and never thought to measure my column.
