what color is this? 1967 shortbed stepside

My label in the glove box is torn right where the paint code is so I'm trying to figure it out..it seems like the interior and exterior of my truck came two different colors.the first picture is under my dash and the second is under my front fender by the A pillar

Second picture looks like I think it's 503? Seafoam green. Cool color if the truck has the right look. Pictures of the spid and actual truck?

Re: what color is this? 1967 shortbed stepside
The interior paint colors/codes for 67 did not match the exterior color like later years. The paint code will give you the exterior color and two-tone scheme if applicable. The interior color is keyed to the trim color.
From the limited pictures it does look like a 503 or 533 truck with a green interior. |

I'm 503 as well. Here's the contrast from interior to exterior color. Always wondered why this was this way.

Like I said earlier 503 green is the exterior color.
503 Light Green exterior / Ditzler code 43523 Primary Interior / Ditzler code 43687 Medium Green Poly (metallic) Upper Dash / Ditzler code 43693 Dark Green Poly (metallic flat) Glove Box / Ditzler code 8568 Argent Sliver. Bumpers, roof (if two-tone) and grill work / Ditzler 8319 Ivory (Off-White) IMHO the 507 Light Blue just isn't probable the colors are very different. |

The trucks, as base build, do not include a rear bumper at all. But there were a number of dealer and aftermarket accessory bumpers available. Step and Channel styles being seen the most often. Optional standard rear bumpers were offered as an RPO to match the front bumper, either painted or chromed. Front bumpers were painted as base build. Chromed front bumpers were included only with the RPO Z84 CST trim option. But they were optional on all other pickups. Seems like the first thing most people do is toss a painted bumper and add a shiney new chromed bumper, as often as not a standard rear as well. Paints are a problem. Ditzler is now part of PPG and the old formulas are hard to match if they can even be found. In helping others even places like TCP Global often can't match a color to ship as they lack the reference standards. So seek a good local automotive paint supplier (or restoration shop) and look for an old guy that hates computers! :-) Be prepared to offer a sample for matching (these can often be found in wrecking yards). Try reaching out to local members for a place that "works". |
Re: what color is this? 1967 shortbed stepside
There is sections of the cab I can remove cause of rust that still have paint on them..so I can probably bring in a piece for matching
