drivers window stuck down!

I rolled my window down to adjust my mirror and now it won't go back up. Passenger side works fine. Drivers side has had issues in the past but it's never gotten stuck down. Wires going to the switch look fine. I can't reach my hand in far enough to reach the window motor. I couldn't get it up by hand so I need to figure this out soon! Snow storm is moving in...

You can pull the switch and jumper the pins if you can find the wiring diagram. I had to do that in my '86. I was able to fix my switch in just a few minutes once I had it in my hand though. The contacts inside were just a little bent/loose. Bent them back and poof, working windows.

I would pull the switch out of the door panel and operate the switch while wiggling the wires. If the window does not function, check to see if you have power to the switch. If you have power to the switch, then run a jumper across the contacts. If you still cannot raise the window, remove the door panel and try to wiggle the wires to the motor. Most likely, you have a bad connection somewhere. In my experience, the harness behind the door switch is the most common culprit - wiggling those wires may reveal an intermittent no power condition.
