bagging the rear of my 66'
 

Hello I got some questions for rear bags. I want to lay frame and have a good ride. I'm still thinking of Putting a 4 link in with bags over axel. Or stock trailing arms with a notch and bags. If anyone know a thread on it or opinions let me know.

Both work well, it comes down to personal preference. The 4 link is a little trickier to set up, but offers less lateral movement through the cycle.

Scroll through members build threads in the bagged truck section. You will find several of your same questions and answers along with build pics that will help you decide. It takes hours of using the search feature and scrolling through , but its better than watching tv.

Hey from San Jose.

I would keep the stock arms personally. I have a 66 that is 3 linked (I got it that way). I am going to run a parallel 4 link in my 75 when I get to it.

How low are you looking to go? How much fabrication skill do you have?

I'm looking into laying frame . I don't have any fabrication skills. I got someone that will do it and has done many .
just wondering on a 4 link or stock trailing arms.

It is on the back burner though until I get my 75 up and running.

Andrewwmp6 is right about the best you can get. Most people cant afford that though. If you know someone who is competent then you could do this for very little cost:

Tinydb84 your 66' is nice I'm looking for that kind of drop and if you get a chance could you send a pic of the rear of the air ride Setup.

Tiny i would change the wish bones mount,Welding to the diff housing is not a good idea its cast iron and hard to get a good weld on.I'd make a truss over the diff or spin the wish bone around.

I got it this way. I wouldnt have done it that way myself. That being said though, it was ran like this for about 7 years before it was parked and sold to me. I will eventually change it down the road but I am working on other projects at the moment.
