Anyone have a 5.3/4l60e waiting to be strapped onto something? Seems like a solid start for building a custom rig, lots of potential for something you can get running and be under 10k

That's a lot of money for a bunch of parts. Not only is it lacking a drivetrain it doesn't have a title.

Well one could spend more than that building up to what that is. However, caution to whomever buys it. I believe you could get a title from a bill of sale, but only if the seller is the last person on the title. IF I were to buy it (I'm not), I'd go over there and get the VIN number and go straight to the DMV and check the status of it and also make inquiries about getting a new title.

I'd be a lot safer to buy it and put a different titled cab on it. PLENTY of people wanting cabs to replace rusted parts, should be easy to sell.

This being said, I bet if you walked over there with cash you could get it a lot cheaper, especially if you have your own titled cab and ask no questions about the title.

I have a ton of 5.3's and 4.8's and some 6.0 stuff but I am not much for the lowrider type thing and it is about 1500 miles too far for me to go for a truck.

It would be good to have that chassis for one of my nice 3/4 ton cab/ clip/ drivetrain combos. I cant imagine putti g that much time and money into something i didnt have a title for!

Who says it's a '70 C/10?? I say it's a '68 C1500!!

No, I don't have a computer motor. I do have a complete stock '71 truck 350/TH350 looking for a home. It seems high for what you see there. But, if a build like that is what you plan you wouldn't do too bad starting here. The title thing is what takes it over the line. There are ways...we always hope. Never know till it's done. But, if the seller "finds a way" then he has a truck. If he leaves it to you to "find that way" he is selling parts and might as well start picking it apart or expect to get a sad (sadder) return on all those parts selling whole
