Just posted my truck for sale... :(
1 Attachment(s)
Bummed out but it has to go. It was fun while it lasted... need the cash and my wife isn't very fond of it anyway. If any of you guys want a super-nice '72 K10 that's LS-swapped and ready to take anywhere, check out the classified board.
Maybe in a few years I'll buy an old beater version just to kick around in once in a while... gonna miss this truck. |
Re: Just posted my truck for sale... :(
Nice truck. Your wife doesn't like that? Wouldn't it be just as easy to get rid of her?
Just kidding. Good luck with sale. Ron |

Re: Just posted my truck for sale... :(
Well, all I can say is I've been in that position and sold a lot of other stuff before I even thought to let go of my truck, and i couldn't ever pull the trigger. Try and get the new owners information, and ask for first chance to buy it back if he sells it. I don't know how many threads I've seen, "searching for my old truck". Best of luck.

Re: Just posted my truck for sale... :(
When we were tight for money I told my wife I might sell my truck. She said I don't care what we have to do but you are absolutely NOT selling your C10!

Re: Just posted my truck for sale... :(
Price so high that it'll never sell!

Re: Just posted my truck for sale... :(
I had my Blazer long before my wife came along so she knew it was a package deal, me and the truck, and there would be no separating the two. Fortunately both she, and now my 3 year old son both really dig it. I would get a loan before I cashed out the truck if I where you.

Re: Just posted my truck for sale... :(
It's just a truck, a lifeless piece of metal. Do what is best for your family. When your situation changes buy or build another one. Good luck with your sale it is a very nice ride.

Re: Just posted my truck for sale... :(
Good advice Leddzepp, that's what I've been telling myself, and it's the truth. But dang, it is sure a bummer to do all that work and then have to turn around and sell at a loss.
Thanks for all the sympathy fellas, I figured you'd all get it in various ways. Some hilarious responses, thanks for the laughs! |

Re: Just posted my truck for sale... :(
Honey, I have to get rid of the thing that costs me the most upkeep and maintenance. It was a close race and a very hard decision but I'm afraid keeping the truck just makes more economic since. I'm sorry but I have to let you go. Just kidding... kinda :). Seriously, tell her we need the money and if the truck goes then so does her car. Haha

Re: Just posted my truck for sale... :(
I know that I'm not in your shoes, but my dad sold his mint, UN-restored 72 Buick Skylark. He regrets it so much he wont even talk about the car. I was out of work for 8 months in 2013. I sold alot of things that meant alot to me. Musical instruments, firearms, etc. But i never considered selling my 63 Buick because of what happened with my Dad selling his Skylark. I hope in the future you find something better or even get it back. Hope all goes well.
