fuel pump/ tank located!

1 Attachment(s)
I relocated my tank from behind the seat to under the bed using a camaro fuel tank. The stock engine mounted fuel pump would not pump the fuel up, now have an electric, my pump started leaking so bought a new pump, and it seems to have some problems also anyone else had this type of problem?

Did you try using a larger capacity mechanical fuel pump ? Only reason i ask is that the suburbans had rear mounted gas tanks and the fuel delivery was fine. I have a rear mounted gas tank and the mechanical fuel pump works fine.

wotk on your venting and delivery problems to solve your problem

sa mechacical pump is more than up to the task of pumping gas this short distance

you're the problem not the pump

Re: fuel pump/ tank located!

Just went out and re hooked up the Mechanical fuels pump with all new clamps and I think that might do it, found 2 clamps in the fuel line that would not get tight, (cheap Chinese ) , And the truck started right up,

bad new is found another freeze plug leaking from behind drives side motor mount. replace the one behind starter yesterday

thanks for the input on the mechical fuel pump you saved me some $$$$
