Anyone repair bench seat frame???
1 Attachment(s)
The original base model bench seat from my 1970 C20 is a disaster. The drivers area has collapsed with broken springs and bars. Has anyone repaired or replaced their broken springs. This is the base model bench seat, not the full foam model.

Re: Anyone repair bench seat frame???
While they can be repaired, and I have, using for the most part replacements from the passenger side of a donor seat frame. Of course I also had the trade spring clips and crimper along with bulk zig zag spring too. But I would strongly suggest you consider upgrading to a full foam seat. They just feel better!

BULL HOCKEY ! You can repair anything you want if you can't find the parts I have a few extras . the full foam bench isn't as good as the origina spring seat :chevy:

Re: Anyone repair bench seat frame???
I'm going to give it a try. I have some 5/32 spring steel rods at work. I should be able to fabricate the missing springs and repair the rest. If all else fails, there is a 1970 C50 with the full foam bench in the salvage yard by me, but it has huge holes bored through the foam from critters living in the truck.
