1969 Gmc 3/4 ton pickup 8 lug rear end
Im in the process of swaping out the rear end. But was wondering if I could just make my life easier and instead of swaping out the entire rear end just change out the axles instead. with these
http://www.speedwaymotors.com/1965-1...Kit,46263.html Does any one know if this will work on a 3/4 ton or if the ECE axle conversions will work. |

No. You need a complete half ton axle housing assembly with the same attachement style as your truck. Coils and trailing arms or leafs depending on what you have.
The full-floater axles that were in the 3/4 ton trucks don't go together the same way as the half tonners. |

Apples and oranges. The housing and everything related is different size. So if your cahnging to 5 lug you need a 5 lug rear. Jim

Even if I have a 10 bolt rear end? Sorry for the newb questions. Just trying to convert it to 5 lug all the way around and looking for the quickest and most efficient route. I have a friend who had 8 lug in the back and these conversion axles worked for him.
