1967 dog dish hubcap differences???
1 Attachment(s)
Located this picture from an already ended Ebay listing. There was obviously 2 different hub cap stamping in 1967. one has more of a "raised" bowtie. I purchased 3 like the ones on the left in the picture at a swap meet yesterday. But most others I have found are like the one on the right. Anybody know the story on this??? .....TIA

I've only seen that style on the 67 caps, never seen a 68 cap. Maybe it was an early 67 stamping? I prefer the style on the right, I sold all my caps like the one on the left.

Hmm. Never noticed that before. One of my chrome caps have the raised area around the bowtie and two don't. All my painted caps are buried in boxes in my parts stash so I was unable to check them.

For what ever it's worth, all 4 caps on my son's 68 are like the one on the right.

I have three sets of 67 or 68 caps. None of them are raised.

None of your 67 or 68 caps are raised? Maybe the raised caps are early. Seems maybe the non-raised (?) stuff is late? 67-68 caps look to be the same but with different paint schemes.

In the search for 1967 info, I contacted the GM Heritage center. This is what they sent
