US Body Replacement Cab

Has anyone seen this? Know anything about it? Have one? I didn't see anything about this on the boards but a buddy sent me the link since my cab is in poor shape. A lot of money though but could save a lot of time.

40 Willys yes. 67-72 truck no. I think their are wayyyyyy to many good cabs out there to warrant that kind of money for a fiberglass cab. JMO

I agree with cooperhw. You could find an original, all steel cab complete with doors and prepped for paint for that. You might have to make a road trip but they exist.

Even with the aluminum reinforcement, I wouldn't want a fiberglass cab on a truck I drive regularly without a roll cage unless they're willing to provide some form of crash test data (and proof the cab wouldn't just break off the mounting bolts or completely snap apart in a rollover.)

You can buy a complete solid truck for less than that and repair the damage the cab might have.

I think the people that buy those are building drag trucks where every pound counts.

Well I'll be honest I didn't realize it was full fiberglass. I found the companies website and they basically make all panels in fiberglass for the c10s. Would be nice if someone was building a race truck as I'm sure it would lightening it up quite a bit.

I wasn't that interested anyways as that's a lot of money. Mainly interested in what others' opinions on the product.

You could get a top notch professional restoration on an original cab in rough shape for that kind of money. Steel may rust and fiberglass won't, but it can fail in many other ways in the time it would take a steel cab to rust. It's not the immaculate material

There is a OEM refurbished cab on e-bay for about the same price , looks like is was a very solid cab before it was refurbished ,

I am not crazy about the door to body fitment from what I can see in the pictures but it is a very solid cab.
