Steel wheels and disc brakes
So from what the gentleman at ECE told me there is two different stuck of 15in 6 lug steelies. One style will clear but the other one will not. Can anyone verify that that's the case? If so what is that difference I need to make this work? Does it matter if it's 3 or 4 nub wheels? Riveted? Please let me know

Re: Steel wheels and disc brakes
3 nub will not clear disc brakes.

Re: Steel wheels and disc brakes
rims from pre 71will not clear disc brakes rims 71 and later will clear disc brakes

Re: Steel wheels and disc brakes
But the 4 nub will? Again this is 6 lug not 5 so post 71 isn't an option anyway for 6 lug right?

Re: Steel wheels and disc brakes
4 nub clear. Post 70 6 lugs came on 4wd trucks.

Re: Steel wheels and disc brakes
Oh ok, didn't think of the 4x4's.. Now did 4x4's only have the 15x8's? Cause I have 15x8s four nub for the backs and 15x6 four nub for the front.. Will the 6's fit?

Re: Steel wheels and disc brakes
Yes

Re: Steel wheels and disc brakes
Just run the 4x4 ralley's

Re: Steel wheels and disc brakes
I don't want 4x4 rallyes cause there not steelies. Hence why I started this thread to begin with.. The truck already has rallyes and I don't like them.

Re: Steel wheels and disc brakes
What Scott said - the only thing that works for FACTORY-SIZE disk conversions is the 71 and up K10 wheel, nothing else from Mr. GM will clear them. The problem with 70 and earlier C10 OR K10 wheels (both 6 lug) is that the inner profile of the rim hits the caliper. As long as you know they are K10 wheels, you're good on a stock size caliper. If you buy "big brakes" you'll need custom wheels.
