ECE 4/6" drop kit work with ford 9"?

Hello everyone,

After picking up my new truck I'm looking into actually getting a drop kit installed. Right now I'm riding around on cut springs and as many of you know, the rides rough. Lol I was looking at picking up the ECE 4/6" drop kit but wondering if there would be an issue with it since I have a ford 9" rear end. All work was done by previous owner. Thanks in advance guys.

PS- I searched but couldn't come up with anything related.

if the 9-inch was installed with new perches and all the old trailing arm suspension, it should work just fine. you'll need the deluxe track bar kit that connects from the frame to the u-bolts/perches so it won't need to connect to the original 12-bolt. some pictures of the rear end would help verify.

oh and welcome to the forum! got any photos of the truck?

Yes. I have the ECE 4/6 kit and a Moser 9". It all bolted up without issue as the 9" perches were correctly made and the axle tubes were the same diameter as stock.

Sweet! Thanks guys! Before I get my drop kit I have to redo the whole front steering setup. It's pretty worn out.

If you can afford it, buy a RedHead steering gear. I've got one and it's one of the best automotive parts I've ever bought.
