Making the cut
1 Attachment(s)
I know there was a discussion a few weeks ago on cutting wheels, recently I found this new lennow diamond metal cutting wheel at Lowes hardware. This thing is the bomb, I have cut panels , frame rivets and even used it to cut the tin for my tin roof. Still has plenty of life left. All for 15.00 and much safer.

Re: Making the cut
Hmm... I'm on my way to Lowes this afternoon. I might have to buy one.

Re: Making the cut
Amazon carries them as well, though I think Lowes is cheaper in this case:

They are worth every penny :chevy::gmc2:

Re: Making the cut
Has anyone tried the BIG 10" units on a chop saw? I normally use a metal tooth blade for cutting steel, but for thinner wall stuff like intake tubes I use an abrasive cutoff wheel. They make one of these in 10" but it's not cheap...

Re: Making the cut
Didn't know Lenox had these, looks like I'm going to have to get some. Lenox makes good stuff, love their tubing cutter and their hole saws last longer than anyone else's I've tried for drilling through sheet metal.

Re: Making the cut
By total coincidence I was at Lowes for the first time in 5 years yesterday, standing in the bolt aisle (didn't have what I needed, grrr) and there was this very saw sitting there. So I bought the 4.5" and brought it home and put it on my tool, but nothing to cut yet...
All because of this thread! Small world. |

Re: Making the cut
I was the one asking about cutting wheels a couple weeks ago. Looks like I am going to Lowes today :)
