86 K10 Rear Leaf Spring Help

1 Attachment(s)
I need some help. My truck has a set of 8002 Rough Country 4" leaf springs on the front and 4" lift blocks on the rear. The truck sits considerably lower in the rear and I want to raise it up at least level if not a little higher. I don't like the saggy butt look. I know the stock rears are probably weak, but I'm not sure if I should just swap in a set of 4" rear springs, or if I should go a bit higher. Anyone running a 4" RC lift with the rear springs?

Go to Offroad Design and check out the 4" rear shackle flip. That plus a zero rate block will get your leveled out. Plus you can use the zero rate to get the rear wheel centered where you want them.

Then just get a stock spring pack or keep what you have.

OR just keep your setup you have now and add zero rates. They bolt into the spring pack.

Thank you. I'm really wanting to do all spring with no blocks.

The shackle flip will make it ride better to me.

From all my experiences with Rough Country kits, the 4" RC kit sits about as high as everyone elses 6". As nice as the shackle flips are they ALSO kick the rear end forward requiring you to use one of their zero rate's to re-center the rear end in the wheel well. If it was my truck I would order new rear springs from Rough Country to match the fronts.

Thank you all for your input! I think I'm going with new RC springs as K30 suggested.

I think you're on the right track there. Seems like they all get a saggy butt over the years. Are those 35's or 33's? Truck looks good BTW.
