Apache 59 door seals

As above need a pair of door seals for a 59 Apache. Where the best place to buy, ie best quality and fit? thanks

Re: Apache 59 door seals

I got mine from Classic but have not installed they yet. They come with clips to fit the factory holes. They are NOT Sofseal which a lot of guys swear by. I got mine in my big order, all seals, misc bolts, mirrors, visor arms, door parts so the shipping did not kill me. I did research of all the major aftermarket suppliers and the over all cost of the order was the cheapest for similar quality parts.

i believe my door rubber came from lmc truck, as did most of my parts
remember to install it correctly, your first intuition will be to install it backwards (like i did)
this is the correct method

Re: Apache 59 door seals

thanks guys, Ogre, did your seals clip on or glue in place?

Re: Apache 59 door seals

I've seen both, not sure the advantages to the glue on. The clip on seems to be the way to go

Re: Apache 59 door seals

even with the clips I am going to use sealant, clips just help with positioning and holding in place while the gorilla snot sets up. Don't forget the stainless bar across the bottom to keep it from sagging, and there are a few small clips at the tight corners to keep it in place.

Re: Apache 59 door seals

i used the clips, only glued a couple small places in the curves around the latch
that normally would have had small screw in clips
glad i used the clips because i had them backwards and had to turn them around
i also glued the corners together as my repop door bottoms had square corners
i didn't have the ss trim orrieg mentions
