Coil spring Isolators
Hoping this can help the next guy that searches for a suggestion on what coil spring isolators to use...
I am running a 4" coil drop spring in the front and they have a touch of slop when off the jack! Its not alot, in fact, they can only wiggle / rotate until the coil starts to come out of place, then...whatever, its not safe. Plus, my 4/6 drop still has a slight forward tilt, so I wanted to correct that and fix the spring thing. Enter the Energy Suspension part number 9-6120. I'll even link to it (no affiliation, just saving people time) http://www.energysuspensionparts.com/9.6120 If you cut the isolator and shape the part that has to fit into the lower A-arm coil spring notch where the coil works, it should stay put, take up the slop of the 4" drop spring and get rid of my Anti-Mexi-cali lean. Ima finish my whiskey and coke and go install these things. I'll be back with pics. |

Re: Coil spring Isolators
Very cool to see documented, thanks for posting. I'm looking to do a much thinner isolator on TOP of my coil in the upper pocket to raise maybe 1/2" from where I am now. I'll try and report back as well. Good work, plenty of clearance now!
