Just got a cpp center crossmember for my truck. My truck only has a 5in drop. Cpp said it will work. Has anyone used this crossmember

I have one I my '67. 2.5/4" drop, no issues.

I have 72 swb frame 4-6 drop Early Classic c-member basically the same design no issues

I’m only asking because the mounts for The trailing arm are upside down for the pinion angle

i can show you the angle of mine ...i would assume if cpp says it will work and they are welded in place why wouldnt it work ? maybe someone who has used one will chime in

The theory is the repositioned mounts for the trailing arms make the pinion angle better on lowered trucks.

Nope. One thing I learned during installation is do not put jack stands anywhere near the crossmember. They will deflect the frame enough to make it very difficult to slide crossmember out or get the new one to lineup with the mounting holes. Also unless you have the cab off getting the top rear rivets out is a *****.
