Erm,

Wasn't truckparts67_72 the alter-ego of "primered something or other" who got ridden out of here on a rail?

Unfortunately it appears it IS the same guy. Check the link I editted into my previous reply.

Good luck,

Brian

Hooter 12-02-2003 02:07 AM

ah they are still cheap and look better then what I have

my new 72 12-02-2003 02:10 AM

Dude you got ripped. That guy's chrome stuff is crap. He doesn't use any nickle to fill the imperfections in the metal before he puts the chrome on. I'm betting that when you put those on and actually try to use them the chrome flakes off in sheets. That is if the rivets in them are any good to begin with.

Hooter 12-02-2003 02:11 AM

ah ****
Now I think Im gonna detract my bid

krazy_texan 12-02-2003 02:14 AM

oh no not him again, i dont even want to mention his name, i met him at a swap meet once, he had a booth a couple down from mine and he is the most annoying, assanine bastard alive i thought real serios about giving him a swift kick in the family jewels just so i could get the heck away from him, it was terrible

Hooter 12-02-2003 02:15 AM

how do you get out of buying something on ebay?

Hooter 12-02-2003 02:19 AM

message I just sent him

I have been alerted several times over about the quality of your parts and service from several board members on 67-72 chevytrucks.com and therefor refuse to purchase or do business with you, sorry for the inconvience.

HOOTER -- I THINK YOU CAN JUST RETRACT OR CANCLE YOUR BID. LOOK UNDER SAFE HARBOR, OR BUYING TIPS. JOHN:D I PERSONALLY WOULDN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS FINE FINE INDIVIDUAL IF HE WAS GIVING AWAY TRUCK PARTS FOR FREE. (& I LIKE PARTS :D :D ) JOHN

dtlilly 12-02-2003 02:28 AM

Yep, that's the guy that told us we could kiss his @ss because parts never showed, and the ones that did were not as described, sometimes not even the right part.

Hooter 12-02-2003 02:33 AM

thanks for the heads up, lets just hope I dont hear anymore from this guy

krazy_texan 12-02-2003 02:49 AM

you just started a fire
by mentioning the board

Hooter 12-02-2003 03:01 AM

what do you mean by that?
oh wait, ya with him, ya but it's his fault for being a froaud and a crook

Mudder 12-02-2003 04:46 AM

Hooter just take your hinges off, wire brush em real good and paint. They'll look great!

BUXMAN66 12-02-2003 04:52 AM

better yet get 'em powder-coated in black glossy...mine look killer and have'nt had any prob.'s w/'em!

jmanz69 12-02-2003 08:36 AM

He left you a negative feedback, as he should since you didn't pay after winning. Post a reply to it explaining why you didn't buy his item. That way when someone looks at you feedback they don't think you are a deadbeat. I've had a problem with deadbeats lately.

Randy70C-10 12-02-2003 11:31 AM

Hmmm, he advertised them as "Triple plated".....this means copper buffed, nickel plated and then chrome plated. I would have paid just to see if his parts were sent as described. If they weren't, I'd start a crap load of free websites dedicated to him.

Well, if you really want to, they are already relisted.

Randy70C-10 12-02-2003 11:44 AM

Hmmmm, naaaa. I never cared much for chrome hood hinges, they will make my engine look like crap. (kinda like parking a Ferrari next to a Pinto)

Mixup 12-02-2003 12:26 PM

I bought stuff from this guy before I read on the board who he was. The chrome on the parts I received was junk.
