John that looks great, did you glue it direct to the cab or how did you do it?

metalman 12-05-2003 08:59 PM

that looks nice. don't know if that is something i would do to my truck but it does look good.

John that looks great. How much did it cost to have it done?

john 12-05-2003 09:28 PM

The fabric glues on and it cost $200 including visors. John

67Fleetsidedream 12-05-2003 09:41 PM

Wow what a deal. Did it quiten the cab down also?

FRENCHBLUE72 12-05-2003 11:17 PM

Damn that look's good.. What kida glue did you use? I had been debating on what to do with the inner metal of the cab , that look's like a comfortable way to go..

3M spray adhesive???? That is what I used on my door panels.

those are some of the coolest door panels. Is that custom or did you use a kit? I love the interior.

man that looks sharp, how long did you spend getting all the lines and and all the wrinkles out?

67_SS396 12-12-2003 04:27 AM

Ken, you've never seen my '67 in person have you? Here's the latest pic to give you an idea of what I did. I used a tight carpet and it's held in place with Liquid Nail. I did the same thing to my old '65 and after 10 yrs, it was still holding. It sure makes the cab alot quieter.

John, can you give more info on how you installed? That is awesome. It looks exactly like what I want! Did you have the glass out when you did it?

ALL6T7 the headliner goes in before the glass. My upholstery guy uses a glue pot (looks same as paint pot) with a contact cement. You can buy aerosol cans for headliners from shops that sell the material. It takes two guys to put it up with no wrinkles. Ive had problems with 3M adhesive bleeding through, and it doesn't hold as good. John

tim m 12-12-2003 07:40 PM

When they did mine the tweed had a rubber backing on it so the glue would'nt bleed through it.

Here is a pic of my interior.
