67 SPID help
I recently picked up a 67 Chevy C10 that appears to have had a significant restoration in the 80's-90's. So, some of the badging and trim has been removed. I am trying to figure out what it looked like originally.
The truck came with a chrome front bumper (4V37AD) and side trim (4B98AA) (which was removed in the repaint along with any side emblems. Also the truck has the panoramic cab (4A10AA) with chrome trim around the rear window. The front window does not have trim, so I am guessing it was destroyed by impatient removal. Anyway, They painted over the grill trim. I am trying to figure out if it was chrome (without removing the paint). I actually sanded a spot off underneath and it appears it was painted white (or grey primer) before blue. Does anyone know what these custom groups were comprised of? I would think the trim was chrome seeing as the bumper was chrome. 4Z61DL 4B98AA Thanks for any help you can provide. |

Here are some pics for you of my 68 ‘s front bumper and grill trim rings in chrome.
NOTE: The hood and front fender trim would NOT have been on a 67 . Also a pics of our 67’s painted grill trim rings and the side trim. |
Re: 67 SPID help
67 custom trim pickups would have had steel painted white grille hoops and head lamp bezels, and chrome side moulding, just like the blue 67 pics Rods posted. No grille surround trim, as Rods mentioned. Sort of an odd combination in that first year of the body style.
EDIT: If a 67 only had the Z62 option they had steel/white grille trim. Since yours has the Z61 and Z62, it would have had chrome… |

Re: 67 SPID help
A lot of your questions can be answered by downloading the vehicle info packet on the GM Heritage website, https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/gm-...tion-kits.html
You may have new questions after looking through the info packets- you may have to look at both the '67 and '68 packets as carry over info from the previous year may not be included in the subsequent year packets. |

In your example the G50 spring it states for the C10 they have 2000lb capacity each but for the C20 they have 3000lb capacity each and C30's have 3100lbs each. |
