Difference in cab mount bushings.
Im not 100 percent sure on this, but I think 3/4 ton and 4x4 cab mount bushings are the same. While the basic 2 wheel drive 1/2 ton cab mount bushings are different.
If so why would a cab mount be any different on any style of the 67-72's? Are the frames that much different on say a 2 wheel drive 1/2 vs the same truck in 3/4 ton? I feel like Ive read that the thickness of the metal was a bit thicker on 3/4 tons, but in my mind I always figured the outside diameter would be the same but the inside would be different on the 3/4 tons. |

Can't speak for why things are different, but the rear cab mount is physically lower on the frame to allow for a taller bushing.

Like sloGMC said the Rear body mount brackets on the C20 frame are mounted lower on the frame than the C10's. Not sure why myself. That is why the C20 rear bushings are taller than the C10's. I don't know about the 4x4's, not familiar with them. LockDoc |

My assumption is the 4x4 and c20 had larger body bushings because of the heavier suspension springs being used. Little more give to smooth out the ride
