'90 Burb 6" lift questions..best springs??
I just bought a 90 suburban- want to lift it 6". What springs are going to give me the best ride- softest? Also are there any problems to watch out for? I lifted my 80 Blazer 5 years ago- just wonder if the Suburban's are different.
Thanks!! |
Tuff Country EZ-Ride springs seem to have the best ride on the market right now. Heres a table for spring-rates, its for 4" springs though.

If I where putting on a lift I would use either tuff country or BDS. Both of these ride nice.

Thanks for the help- i'll probably do the softest springs since my wife doesn't want it "too bumpy"....
Thanks again!! |
Superlift is the best riding spring out there right now. They have more leaves to resist sagging and for a better ride. The chart destructo posted is a old chart. I figured it was old because warn hasnt made springs in about 3 years. Skyjacker softrides are nice but alot of them sag if you wheel hard and/or run a big block or winch. On my truck I run superlift springs and love em.

Thanks for the info- I'm not going to do a lot of hardcore- wheelin- mainly just playin in the mud- it has a small block in it now. I'm looking for the best ride/comfort right now- my old Blazer had such stiff suspension that it just about rattled my fillings lose!!
Thanks- P.S.- Wife says it has to be soft cuz she wants to drive it around town...lol |
