Headliner Removal

Any one have a good trick to pull the headliner trim off with out breaking the tabs off?
I need to pull the new headliner out that I picked up from Brothers..the liner is falling loose in part. seems the fake stitching is glued down to give the pillow look..well it came apart the day after install...My old liner is better looking than the new one now..so if I can pull the trim off (brand new with the headliner)I will just swap the liner..
Now that Holley owns Brothers I wont do any more bushiness with them.I have been getting the run around for 3 months now with their customer service rep. What a joke.

The only thing I could recommend would be a little heat. You have to be pretty careful though.

I would think a new one would be easier to remove than a brittle 50 year old one though.

When I popped mine out of my '70, only a couple of the clips broke. Those things are really just there to keep the trim in place until the screws are in, right?
