tilt hood

Anyone know where to buy a tilt hood system for a 69

Do you mean a whole tilt front end? If so, try U.S. Body Source http://www.usbody.com

Wow! They are pricey, but you can build a truck out of fiberglass!

Thanks bigjimzlll, it did turn out to be a bit of a project! I am a "hobby fabricator"& dont have all the tools that I would like to have. The front clip was a winter project about 3 yrs back,& i was very pleased with the end result,& also didnt have too much cash involved($100-$125 in steel& materials)......69 longhorn.

You can also get the reverse tilting setup from a Buick Lesabre(?). I know of a few guys that have done this and it works real nice.

Is there a certain year Lesabre?

Smooth68 04-01-2002 04:14 PM

There is but I'm not sure of exactly what it is...I'm thinking it's something like mid to late 80's. I always can tell by looking at the body style, the hood seam on these years is on the side of the fender, not the top.

86-91 Lesabres would have it
