bagged91 02-12-2004 09:18 PM

This 72' isn't too bad considering the parts I will be using off of it to convert my 71 over to a bigblock/auto with the A/C and tinted glass.

Anyone got a lot of ambition? Wanna restore it? :banghead:  lol

you could bring it down to the my shop for a full restore. I am always ready for a new project. Give me a call 513-727-8003

Yeah, the grill is in decent shape. It has a few minor scrapes but would be good for a driver. I am swapping a 68' clip onto my 71' so I won't be using it. From what the p.o. says, the truck hasn't moved from that spot in 12 years. He said he used to start it every spring & fall and check antifreeze before winter.Has good oil pressure & runs cool but smokes a little bit... He was keeping it for the motor but never did anything with it.

I'm actually just using the mounts & accesories with brackets off it. I have a fresh 454/T400 that I am putting in my sub so the 402 will go in dads garage for storage...

It does have a lot of other parts that I am going to use on my 71 also. Worth every penny of the $500.00 too me...

I beg to differ. That thing has definately moved in the last 12 years. Yeah, i'd say about about 6 inches down. Give or take a couple. :D

lukecp 02-12-2004 11:31 PM

Lots of good mechanical parts there! I would pay $500 too...especially with a running BB....

71Rat 02-13-2004 12:39 AM

what are you doing to the body or is it way past repair?... just wondering

Longhorn Man 02-13-2004 01:17 AM

$500 with a running complete stock big block?
Yeah, good deal.
How gutsy are you? You gonna drive it home?

botboy 02-13-2004 01:34 AM

How are the inner/outer grills on that? Wanna sell em?

What about the front bumper?

bagged91 02-13-2004 03:09 PM

71rat - The body is done. I am stripping it clean and then it goes bye-bye....

longhornman - I could see the line of bodymen following me now!!!

botboy - I am pairing the inner/outer grille with the clip from my 71 in hope's of finding someone to swap me a 67-8 clip for it. The bumpers are trash(bent & rusted).

Sure you don't wanna do a '69 front clip swap? I have those parts available for trade lol...

Parts Burb

Good find, in a yard or private?
Yep, the great north east takes it's toll:mad: At least your saving what's left.
I had to donate my 71 blazer to the bone yard last year:whine:

bagged91 02-13-2004 11:36 PM

vtblazer - It was a private seller. Found it while I was working(truck driver). Saw it from the interstate...

How much of the firewall are you looking for on your K5? I know where there is one at in a yard, it's rough but I can take a lookse to see if it's usable. I think the windshield was rotted tho... It may still have the vent windows on it if they are worth anything? No seats(already looked) or much of anything else left.

Ebfabman said that he was going to do a DVD on making a 2wd blazer out of a blazer tub and a pickup cab. Maybe something to look into?
