It depends on what type of "high-rise" it is. If it is a single plane I would stay away from it for a truck unless you are an all out drag racer. Dual plane intakes make better low end torque right where it's needed for a truck. I have an Edelbrock Perf RPM Q-jet manifold on the 388 in my Suburban.
