No, Actually, i sand blasted it. I covered the edge with duct tape and tossed it in the sand blaster. Fogged a light coat or primer on it and sprayed the gloss black.
I should have scuffed it a bit after the sand blasting, I have a couple chips in it already, and it's only been driven 108 miles since I got it. (then again, the cab is a storage area when it isn't being driven)
