Hey guys,
I dont know what happened with my post or the dates....Weird I guess...
I love BBC but I have seen too many EAT lifters running solid roller cams on the street...Maybe going with a small cam like you did maybe it will live longer. Most solid roller cams I have seen are pretty large cams so that might be the difference.
My super easy low buck combo...
454 bored 60 over
stock crank and rods...with good ARP studs and bolts.
SRP forged pistons
stock oval port heads with a VERY mild cleanup behind the valves to remove casting flash also a cleanup and portmatch of the runners
Lunati Solid lifter cam....Adv. Duration: 310°/320° Gross Lift: .558''/.566'' RPM Range: 2500-6500
Weiand Team G intake with Holley 850 cfm double pump carb.
Turbo 400 trans with a 3500 stall and 3.73 gears...
This exact combo took my brother's 72 Nova to 6.80s in the 1/8th on the motor running pump gas 93 octane ...10.3 to 1 compression. Dang good combo for not much money.
lata
CHRIS
