Cool, thanks for the info fellas.

I got the article fixed on the year mixup with the consoles...now I just need a pic of an 81 console.

Al, 73-87's dont have any extra bracing for bucket seats...the only difference is on buckets, there are well nuts welded to the floor for the seat brackets to bolt to. If you are putting buckets into an original bench seat truck, you will have to weld in well nuts or drill out the hole and use washers and bolts to bolt the brackets down.

GM started making these trucks more and more alike (as the years went on) and as generic as possible so different options could be added without having to make any extra steps or add any new parts. Eventually everything basically became a trim package (in the 80's) and you couldn't even get some of these options (like buckets, tachs, and such).
