We`ve always described short Fleetsides as swb.Most people aren`t familiar with manufacture`s labels.Like mistaking calling GMCs Fleetsides or Ford and Dodges called Stepsides.Or,for that matter`88-ups being mistakingly called Stepsides.Most people are not that specifically informed or technical and calling them this is the simplest way to handle it.Using swb as short wide bed is easiest since it is specific and works for all brands.It`s no big deal and there`s no official book on it.It`s easy enough to figure out either way.I know swb can stand for short wheel base,but when body-style is being discussed...
